The Dawgs won game one against the Emerson Hawks on their way to splitting a double header. John Minetti and Dylan Harlos both pitched well on the mound. Minetti started the game and threw three innings and gave up one earned run with four strikeouts. Harlos picked up the win in four innings of relief, surrendering two runs on tow hits over four innings.

The Dawgs tied the game at one in the second inning but put the game away thanks to Minetti's two run homer later in the game. Randy Squier and Matt Sargent each had two hits and two RBI in the game.
