The Dawgs jumped out to an early lead over NJ Royals and took home an 11-1 victory on Sunday in Great Meadows. The Dawgs scored on a singles by rivals Bert Tice and Rob Giglio in the first inning.
The Dawgs added four more runs in the third inning on a home run by Tyler Coolyeti and singles by the Killer Bs Kellen Bradley and Two-hole Tyler Branham.
Ian Denzer-Weiler earned the win for the Dawgs. He threw five innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out four, and walking none.
The Dawgs had 12 hits in the game. Branham, Mike Grace, Coolyeti and Bradley each collected multiple hits.
The Dawgs tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. The Dawgs played great defense in Weiler's start and didn't commit a single error in the field. Rob Giglio had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
