Two-Hole Tyler Drives in Four

Dawgs Closed Out the Regular Season with Win

D.-W. Throws 8 Innings as Dawgs Sweep

Four RBI from Two-Hole Tyler helped lead the NJ Dawgs past the NJ Royals 12-5 on Sunday at Free Union Field. Branham drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a single in the fifth.

The Dawgs grabbed an early lead in the second and had a huge fifth inning. Singles by Kellen Bradley and Hobbs Tice got things started in the second inning.

The Dawgs big fifth inning was fueled by the Killer B's. Singles by Bradley and Branham and a double by Bert Tices all knocked in runs along with a bases loaded walk by Mike Grace.

NJ Royals scored three runs in the fourth inning to close the gap to 6-3 but could not come back against Branham, the Dawgs third pitcher of the game.

Ian D.-W. earned the win for the Dawgs, his second of the day. He threw three innings, giving up three runs, two hits, and striking out two. Grace and Branham helped close out the victory in relief. Branham earned a 3 inning save.

The Dawgs had 16 hits in the game. The Tice Brothers, Bradley, Branham, Grace, and Coolyeti each collected multiple hits. Ian led the team with 2 HBP. The Dawgs will host the Sparta Brewers at Free Union Field this Sunday in an exhibition double header as the Dawgs look toward the playoffs.
