The Dawgs defeated the Sparta Brewers Sunday in Great Meadows thanks in part to Tyler Coolyeti, who drove in 5 runs in a 15-2 victory. Coolyeti drove in runs on singles in the first and third inning and a double in the second. The Dawgs grabbed an early lead with RBI singles by Single Meyers, Bert Tice, and Coolyeti.
Ian Denzer-Weiler earned the win for the NJ Dawgs. In his third start in two weeks, D.-W. gave up two runs on three hits while striking out two.
The Dawgs collected 12 hits as a team in game one. Meyerkopf, Coolyeti, and Mike Grace each collected multiple hits in the victory.
