Grace's Double in the 6th Leads Dawgs to Victory

The NJ Dawgs and Clifton Dodgers traded the lead back-and-forth in game 1 of the Elite Wood National Division Championship on Sunday. The Dawgs took the lead for good in the sixth. The Dawgs broke a 7-7 tie when Mike Grace doubled, driving in two runs.

The Dodgers took a 7-2 lead in the fourth  on a grand slam off Dawgs starter Ian Denzer-Weiler. Matt Meyerkopf earned the win for NJ Dawgs throwing three perfect innings, striking out 5.

Ian D.-W. started the game for the Dawgs. He gave up 7 runs in 4 innings.

Single Meyers also went 3-3 at the plate and led the team with 3 RBI. The Dawgs also did not commit a single error in the field.
