The NJ Dawgs and Clifton Dodgers traded the lead back-and-forth in game 1 of the Elite Wood National Division Championship on Sunday. The Dawgs took the lead for good in the sixth. The Dawgs broke a 7-7 tie when Mike Grace doubled, driving in two runs.
The Dodgers took a 7-2 lead in the fourth on a grand slam off Dawgs starter Ian Denzer-Weiler. Matt Meyerkopf earned the win for NJ Dawgs throwing three perfect innings, striking out 5.
