The Dawgs fell to the Clifton Dodgers 1-0 in game 2 on Sunday at Free Union Field. An RBI single in the bottom of the 7th gave the Dodgers the win.
Pitching in the game was strong on both sides. Dodgers pitchers struck out 7 while Meyerkopf and Bollette struck out 5. Bollette took the loss for the Dawgs, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings, striking out 3 and walking none.
Matt Meyerkipf started the game for the Dawgs, tossing 4 innings of no-hit baseball. The Dawgs and Dodgers will square off at Nash Park in Clifton at 4:00 for the final game in the Elite Wood National Division Championship.
